Do I need to book in advance?

For general admission tickets, you can buy in advance or on the day. Advance bookings through this website save a minimum of £2 per ticket - website bookings close at midnight on the day before the racemeeting.

For Ladies Day on 9th June and the Hearts Family Raceday on 9th April, we do recommend booking in advance.

If you are a group of 12 or more, you can save £5 on the standard price by booking through the website in advance on most days. Days excluded from this special group booking offer are 8th April, 9th April, 2nd June, 9th June and 29th December.

For Private Suite and Epperston Packages, you do need to book in advance by calling 0131 6652859. These packages are very popular and can get booked up several months in advance.

We also recommend booking a time in advance for a table for the Old Weighing Room Bistro, as at popular times it can be fully booked.

What do I wear?

We have no formal dress code at Musselburgh Racecourse.

Some racegoers like to dress up while others enjoy being able to relax. We do request that guests enjoying corporate hospitality in the Queens Stand and marquees are dressed smart casual.

On Ladies Day, racegoers make a special effort with hats and suits commonplace.

Where can I park?

We have ample free parking close to the racecourse entrance.

The parking is a 5-minute walk from the turnstiles, or there is a shuttle bus running from the car park to the entrance and guests can be dropped off outside the main entrance, before parking your car.

What do I do when I get here?

It is advisable to try and arrive at least half an hour before the first race to get a good look around and to see the horses in the Parade Ring for the first race.

All racegoers receive a complimentary race programme and form guide. Make sure you pick up one of these as it will have all the runners in it, useful information about the racecourse and forthcoming racing, and vouchers for discounts off bets.

Are there cloakroom facilities?

Cloakroom facilities are available on the racecourse and are situated in the tunnel underneath the Main Grandstand. If lost property has not been collected within 30 days following a racemeeting, the items will be donated to a local charity.
