We are located only 6 miles to the east of Edinburgh city centre, and we are serviced by excellent public transport and communication links.

By Bus
Lothian Buses bus numbers 26 and 44 leave from Princes Street in Edinburgh & First Bus service 44. Please alight at Musselburgh High Street for the racecourse. First Bus service 124, Edinburgh North Berwick, runs past the racecourse, on Linkfield Road. You can find out more about local bus services by visiting Lothian Buses and First Group.
By Car
Musselburgh Racecourse is easy to find by car and is situated at the eastern side of Musselburgh. All access routes are well signposted and are less than 1 mile from the A1 and less than 2 miles from the A720 Edinburgh City ByPass.

Parking Facilities
We offer free car and coach parking close to the racecourse. Follow the signs to the public car park, located just off Balcarres Road (shown as P on the Map).
A courtesy bus operates on racedays to transport racegoers from the public Car Park to the racecourse entrance. Traffic is always expected to be very busy, so we do advise you to arrive early and leave plenty time to get to the Entrance Gates to make the first race.
By Train
The nearest train station to Musselburgh Racecourse is Wallyford Station on the Edinburgh Waverley to North Berwick train line. We organise a free courtesy bus from Wallyford Park and Ride (250yds from Station Platform) to the Racecourse, returning after racing. The courtesy bus is timed to meet trains from Edinburgh and from North Berwick. Details of times are given below.
