Musselburgh Racecourse is located only 6 miles to the east of Edinburgh city centre, and has excellent public transport and communication links.
There are many different ways to get here…
By Bus
Lothian Buses bus numbers 15, 15a, 26 and 44 leave from Princes Street in Edinburgh. Please alight on Musselburgh High Street for the racecourse. First Bus service 124, Edinburgh - North Berwick, runs past the racecourse, on Linkfield Road.

By Train
The nearest train station to Musselburgh Racecourse is Wallyford on the Edinburgh Waverley to North Berwick train line.
We organise a free courtesy bus from Wallyford station to the Racecourse, returning after racing. The courtesy bus is timed to meet trains from Edinburgh and from North Berwick. Details of times are below.

By Air
The nearest airport is Edinburgh Airport. From Edinburgh Airport we are 30 minutes away by taxi. The approximate cost from Edinburgh Airport to the Racecourse by taxi is £35 to £45. Taxis from Edinburgh City Centre to the Racecourse cost approximately £18 to £22.
By Car
We have excellent road links; we are located just off the Tranent Junction of the A1 & the Edinburgh City By-Pass. Simply follow the signs to Musselburgh, and the Racecourse from the A1. There is free car parking next to the Racecourse.
