Food and Drink on Ladies Day

Following feedback from last year's racegoers, Musselburgh Racecourse has continues to increase the number of food and drink outlets for 2009.

Food Outlets - open to all racegoers

  • The Old Weighing Room Bistro -
  • Rosebery Hall Cafe Bar - speciality coffees, cakes and sandwiches
  • Le Garcon D'or Servery - delicious pork and beef rolls, tea, coffee and traybakes
  • Pinkie Snack Bar -  hot and cold meals including fish and chips, lasagne, macaroni cheese and steak pies
  • Lucas Ice Cream and strawberries
  • Pommery Champagne Bar - light refreshments and tapas 
  • Picnic Area Food Village including Premium Grill, Risotto, Savoury and Sweet Crepes, Seafood, Baguettes, Executive Sweets and Speciality Coffee

Drink Outlets - open to all racegoers

  • Pommery Champagne Bar - stylish bar in the heart of the racecourse with cocktails, fine wine and Pommery Champagnes 
  • Rockavon Bar and Bottle Bar - on the ground floor of the Links complex next to the betting shop and with an additional bottle bar facility
  • Pinkie Bar - traditional bar on the ground floor of the main grandstand, with adjoining snack servery
  • Dizzy's Bar - on the first floor of the main grandstand, overlooking the winning post
  • Le Garcon D'Or Bar - on the first floor of the main grandstand, overlooking the parade ring
  • Freddies Bar - popular bar on the first floor of the main grandstand, overlooking the final furlong
  • Pommery Champagne and Pimms Marquee - located in the picnic area, serving the range of Pommery Champagnes and Pimms.
  • Ladies Day Bar - located in the picnic area, serving the full range of drinks items  
  • Bar Units - throughout the picnic area

Picnic Party Package;

Reserve your very own picnic table for the day with fantastic views of the racing.  this package takes all the hassle out of organisisng yoru own picnic and secures you a table without having to be the first in the door.  The Picnic Party Package is available for groups of 4, 6 or 8 and includes;

  • Admission into the racecourse
  • Race Programme and form guide
  • Picnic Hamper with delicious beer, ham and fresh salads
  • Pudding
  • Cutlery, glasses and napkins
  • Bottle of wine per pacakge
  • Reserved picnic table per package

Picnic tables are allocated on a first come, first served, basis.

Bring your Own;

Racegoers are also allowed to bring their own picnics to enjoy within the dedicated Picnic Area. Please note that only food is permitted - no drink, glassware or alcohol is allowed into the racecourse, and that all racegoers bringing picnics into the course will be directed to the Picnic Entrance and searched, and any drink found will be confiscated and is non returnable.
