Our People

We are very proud to have held our Investors in People Award since 1999. We have a strong and dedicated team of 11 full time staff, 6 permanent part time staff in addition to over 50 raceday staff. Everyone in our team plays a vital part in contributing to the success of Musselburgh Racecourse every day of the year.

Musselburgh Racecourse is managed by The Musselburgh Joint Racing Committee. As the operating body the Musselburgh Joint Racing Committee, rent the racecourse from East Lothian Council for a full commercial rent.

Contrary to popular perception there is no financial input from the local authority into the day to day running of the racecourse.  This is managed by the dedicated team employed by The Musselburgh Joint Racing Committee.

The committee is made up of 4 councillors and 3 members of the Lothian Racing Syndicate.
