John Smith's County Hurdle Raceday - Sunday 1st February

Musselburgh Racecourse stages it's most valuable Jumps race programme on Sunday 1st February - one of the Highlights of the Scottish Racing Calendar.
It features two valuable trial races for the great Jump racing festival meetings at Cheltenham, Aintree and Punchestown. If you want to see top class horses from all over the country competing, this is your day to be at Musselburgh.
Since this racemeeting was established in 2006, horses of the calibre of Crow Wood, Kings Quay, Premier Dane, Acambo, Purple Moon and Degas Art have competed at this fixture.
Easter Sunday Family Raceday - Sunday 12th April 2009

Easter Sunday is our most popular Family Day of the year, with free entertainments for all the family once you're in the Racecourse.
Children 16 and Under enjoy free admission and, once inside, you can enjoy FREE Funfair rides, Easter Egg Treasure Hunt, Face Painting, Street Entertainers and Behind the Scenes Tour.
ABBA Party Night - Friday 29th May 2009 
Doors Open 4.00pm, First Race 6.20pm, Live Music from 9.30pm
Enjoy a Friday night at the races with all the fun of Live Music after racing. After the popularity of the Party Night last year 2009 will feature a open air stage with a fantastic Abba Tribute band, which racegoers can dance along to after racing.
Our Live Band will rock the racecourse after the last race, with music and dancing untill 11pm.

Finish work early and enjoy the summer evenings with another Party Night at Musselburgh Racecourse. Live Music will again be featured after the racing, band to be confirmed.

Our popular Family Days will be even bigger in 2009 with lots of FREE entertainment to keep all ages happy. 7 live races will be on the card with a whole host of additional entertainment featuring bouncy castles, puppet shows and a choice fo activities all FREE of charge. So bring the family along for a great day out!

New Year Sprint - Monday 29th December 
2008
Begin your Hogmanay celebrations at Musselburgh by watching the famous New Year Sprint, one of the oldest and most lucrative domestic running competitions of it's kind. Both professionals and amateurs race over 110 yards of turf, alongside a valuable and competitive 6 race Jumps meeting. The semi finals and finals of the New Year Sprint are held in between the horseraces.
