Hotel du Vin Edinburgh

Dating back to the early 1700’s this building was Edinburgh’s first poor house and lunatic asylum. This boutique hotel opened its doors in 2008 and is the newest in the Hotel du Vin group. Consisting of 47 bedrooms, some with large walk in showers and free-standing Victorian roll-top baths, very typical of the Hotel du Vin style but the colour schemes have a Scottish, Edinburgh twist. The property also boasts a Chef’s Table just off the hotel’s Bistro, a Mezzanine level Bar, a Cigar Bothy, a Whisky Snug and a Laroche Wine Tasting room. Bistro du Vin is at the heart of our hotel, a classic, French styled, elegant and informal setting for lunch, dinner, to meet, celebrate or simply pass the time.
