Reflection Of You sprung a 14/1 upset when scrambling home by a nose at Musselburgh for Lucinda Russell and Michael Scudamore.

Having pulled up over fences a fortnight earlier, she returned to form under Alan Doyle in the Virgin Bet Handicap Hurdle.

Russell’s partner Peter Scudamore said:

“She’s a winning point to pointer and cost a few quid so hopefully she might still make it as a chaser. But fair play to Alan as he suggested we should send her back over hurdles after she disappointed round here last time.”

Craig Nichol-ridden Judicial Deference looks a nice prospect after his performance in the Livescore Maiden Hurdle.

“Having wind surgery has definitely helped him and he’s a horse we like,” reported winning joint-trainer Oliver Greenall. “We’ll step him up in trip and his long-term future lies over fences.”
