Oktoberfest Raceday featuring the Musselburgh Gold Cup

Saturday 14 September

Come and enjoy seven competitive flat races including The £20,000 Musselburgh Gold Cup and a traditional Bavarian party in our Bavarian marquee (limited seating. First come, first served) - complete with steins, an oompah band (Jager Maestros), bratwurst, and pretzels. You’ll also have a chance to join in our Oktoberfest sing alongs, stein holding and keg rolling competitions plus more! Racegoers are encouraged to attend in their finest lederhosens but it’s not essential. The after racing party will continue one hour after the last race. The Superhero Family Raceday supporting the Edinburgh Childrens Hospital Charity

Sunday 15 September

Racing isn't just for grown-ups! It’s our Superheroes day so come and let the kids enjoy our Clip Clop kids zone with kids rides and superhero shows (Batman, Spiderman, Captain America, Bumblebee), prizes for the best dressed superhero or character. Included in our Clip Clop enclosure are free kids rides and the ever-popular face painting - all included in the price. Throughout the day the kids can dance their hearts out at our kids disco.  This year, we are thrilled to partner with Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity, who give seriously ill children and their families the extra support they need when facing a life-changing hospital visit. On the day, Musselburgh Racecourse will donate £1 for every child that dresses up as a Superhero. It's time to grab your capes and get involved! Gather the clan and bundle them in the car for a day filled with entertainment and exciting flat racing. Guaranteed to tire out those wee legs. Remember, children 17 years and under go free. Sunday 15th September will be a dedicated family day. New Year's Day Raceday in partnership with Virgin Bet

The place to be on New Year's Day! Start 2025 in style at our New Year's Day race meeting. The day will be filled with great racing including the Auld Reekie Handicap Chase and Hogmaneigh Hurdle, live entertainment, marquee's, our winter fashion competition with fantastic prizes and plenty of festive food and drink.  Fun for everyone no matter what age! If you're looking for a great day out on New Year's Day, in and around Edinburgh then come along to what promises to be a great event. More information to come closer to the day. Children 17 years and under go free, when accompanied by a guardian. This event is likely to sell-out so please ensure you secure your child tickets in advance. Child and concession tickets will not be available on the day. Some frequently asked questions: Who is entitled to a Childs ticket and how much does it cost? Children 17 and under are entitled to a child’s ticket. Valid ID for teenagers may be requested and will need to be provided to obtain a child’s ticket. Child’s tickets are free of charge, subject to availability. All children must be accompanied by a paying adult who is 18 years or over. On New Year's Day, we have a limited number of complimentary Personal Assistant tickets. These can only be obtained with a valid Carer’s ID or other carer documentation when accompanying a paying adult. Due to New Years Day being an annual sell-out, our Personal Assistant tickets will be on a first come, first served basis. The Virgin Bet Easter Saturday Raceday featuring The Queen's Cup

  Racing enthusiasts and those in search of a great day out over the holiday weekend will enjoy an Easter spectacular of first-class racing and entertainment. Come and enjoy top quality racing, featuring the prestigious £100,000 Queen's Cup and The Scottish Sprint Cup, Scotland's fastest race!  Proving an ideal destination for couples, friends, families, and groups looking for an Easter get together with a difference. You can also enjoy an array of exciting street food stalls to tempt and tease, not to mention drinks destinations. For those wishing to put their dancing shoes on, there will be an after-racing party. For those looking to bring the little ones, families are looked after too with a dedicated kid’s Clip Clop zone featuring the return of the hugely popular Easter Bunny, free game stalls, free fairground rides for all ages and free face painting. The day will also feature our world famous Corgi Derby (taking place at approx. noon) and The Mini Queen's Cup (taking place at approx 1pm) featuring children from a local Musselburgh nursery. The Edinburgh Cup Raceday 2025

Saturday 7 June

Join us for fun, frivolities, and the pure exhilaration of a day at the races. Enjoy The Edinburgh Cup and witness the fastest filly or mare win the Listed, 7 furlong, The Queen of Scots race! The Edinburgh Cup will attract a top field and the winner would normally go on to Royal Ascot a few weeks later.  On top of high-quality racing, enjoy the best live music on our Main Stage and the After-Racing party (open to all racegoers and will take place for 1 hour after the last race). Sip on botanical-inspired cocktails from Edinburgh Gin Tipple Trailer. Indulge in tasty bites from some of Scotland’s finest street food vendors. Our food vendors cater for dietary requirements and preferences. For those who wish to watch The Epsom Derby, it will be shown on our screens around the racecourse.
