Tristan Davidson has his eye on the £20,000 feature race at Musselburgh with his recent course and distance winner Paper Doll.
The Cumbrian raider bids for her fourth strike for new connections in the Scots Association Musselburgh Gold Cup Handicap over the marathon trip of 2m 2f.
“She’s been a star yet for us yet she didn’t look anything special when she first arrived from Ireland,” Davidson said. “It was her first run at this trip 17-days ago but both Rowan Scott - who rode her last time - and I were pretty confident she would stay.
“There is a couple of horses from that last race, including the second Simple Star, up against us again but she’s in great form and hopefully she’ll run well again. All her wins have come under Rowan but he’s busy down at Doncaster so we’ve booked David Nolan for the ride.”
A competitive race sees Novelista and Perseus Way trying to back up triumphs at Goodwood and Hamilton Park respectively.
The twilight card gets underway with Without Delay aiming for a fourth course and distance success in the Dovend Electrical Ltd Apprentice Handicap.
Tracy Waggott’s mare, who landed the corresponding event twelve months ago by a neck, will be making her 14th appearance at the East Lothian venue.
