Shine On Brendan bids to land the Visit Handicap for the second year running at Musselburgh on Wednesday.

Sent off the 3/1 favourite, Jim Goldie’s change got up in the closing stages to score by half a length twelve months ago.

“Hopefully he’ll nearly win it again!” The Renfrewshire handler said. “He’s been running well and getting closer so this might be his big chance.”

Goldie is also represented by Penelope’s Sister in the Racecourse Live Streams On RacingTV Extra Handicap over 1m 4f.

Bred by Ayr racecourse joint-owner William Johnstone, she was the outsider of a six-runner affair when springing a 33/1 upset at Hamilton Park last Thursday night under  a super-confident spin by Amie Waugh.

Lanarkshire-born Paula Muir is enjoying a decent spell and she partners Going Underground for veteran trainer Will Storey in the Join Racing TV Handicap.

“He gave me a great ride when winning at Ayr last time and, although he’s gone up a few pounds for that, he’ll hopefully go well again,” Muir said. “It was his first win on turf so it should have done his confidence the world of good.”
