The Superhero Family Raceday supporting the Edinburgh Childrens Hospital Charity

Racing isn't just for grown-ups! It’s our Superheroes day so come and let the kids enjoy our Clip Clop kids zone with kids rides and superhero shows (Batman, Spiderman, Captain America, Bumblebee), prizes for the best dressed superhero or character. Included in our Clip Clop enclosure are free kids rides and the ever-popular face painting - all included in the price. Throughout the day the kids can dance their hearts out at our kids disco. 

This year, we are thrilled to partner with Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity, who give seriously ill children and their families the extra support they need when facing a life-changing hospital visit. On the day, Musselburgh Racecourse will donate £1 for every child that dresses up as a Superhero. It's time to grab your capes and get involved!

Gather the clan and bundle them in the car for a day filled with entertainment and exciting flat racing. Guaranteed to tire out those wee legs. Remember, children 17 years and under go free.

Sunday 15th September will be a dedicated family day. The Musselburgh Gold Cup race will now feature on Saturday 14th September, and we will also welcome students from Edinburgh and surrounding areas (on Saturday 14th September).

• We're only 6 miles from Edinburgh City Centre with direct transport links and a courtesy bus from Wallyford (connecting to Edinburgh) and NewCraighall (connecting to Galashiels) train stations. 
• All timings are provisional and may change. Please keep an eye on our website and social media channels for any changes.
• Children 17 years and under are admitted FREE at Musselburgh Racecourse when accompanied by a paying adult. Four children are permitted per paying adult and/or concession.
