Oktoberfest Raceday featuring the Musselburgh Gold Cup

Come and enjoy seven competitive flat races including The £20,000 Musselburgh Gold Cup and a traditional Bavarian party in our Bavarian marquee (limited seating. First come, first served) - complete with steins, an oompah band (Jager Maestros), bratwurst, and pretzels. You’ll also have a chance to join in our Oktoberfest sing alongs, stein holding and keg rolling competitions plus more! Racegoers are encouraged to attend in their finest lederhosens but it’s not essential. The after racing party will continue one hour after the last race.

We are thrilled to be able to welcome students from Edinburgh and St Andrews to give them a taste of some thrilling competitive racing.  

• We're only 6 miles from Edinburgh City Centre with direct transport links and a courtesy bus from Wallyford (connecting to Edinburgh) and NewCraighall (connecting to Galashiels) train stations. 
• All timings are provisional and may change. Please keep an eye on our website and social media channels for any changes.
• Children 17 years and under are admitted FREE at Musselburgh Racecourse when accompanied by a paying adult. Four children are permitted per paying adult and/or concession.
• Student and concession tickets are available. You must have a valid concession I.D. More information about our concession tickets can be found in our FAQ section, click here. Please note, there will be a price increase for student and concession tickets purchased on the day.
