Bridge Court was an impressive winner at Musselburgh for Sandy Thomson and Callum Bewley.

Racing off bottom-weight, the 4/1 chance stormed home over four lengths clear of Jus De Citron in the Famous Five Handicap Chase.

Greenlaw-Based Thomson said that the winner is being aimed at the Go North Series Chase Final at Carlisle next month and Bewley added:

“That was great. He jumped for fun and staying this new trip has opened up a few more options for him.

“He absolutely loved the testing ground and he’s a very uncomplicated horse. Touch wood, things are going great for me at the moment.”.

There was another Scottish-trained winner when Nick Alexander’s Beat The Retreat landed the Virgin Bet Conditional Jockeys’ Handicap Hurdle for the second year running under Dominic Hislop.
