Accessibility

Accessibility

At Musselburgh Racecourse, we seek to provide equal opportunities for all visitors and racegoers, and we are working hard to ensure that all our facilities are accessible to everyone.

Working with Euan’s Guide, we have created the following accessibility statement and hope this provides a range of relevant information to help you enjoy your day. For further information please contact the team on enquiries@musselburgh-racecourse.co.uk or call 0131 665 2859.

FREE ADMISSION FOR CARERS

Racegoers who require special assistance are offered free admission for one accompanying carer when they pay the full adult/concession price.

Please bring relevant proof of entitlement, such as an Access Card with ‘+1’ symbol, a ‘plus one’ travel card or letter from Disability Living Allowance, as this will be asked for on arrival.

Separate parking arrangements are in place for Ladies Day and Scottish Sprint Cup. Disabled parking is available in the car parks. PARKING

We have a car park and there are accessible parking spaces. The parking is less than 50 metres from the main entrance. Parking is free.

  • There is a drop-off point at the main entrance. The drop-off point has a dropped kerb.
  • From the car park to the entrance, there is level access. There is a permanent ramp.
  • The path is sloped.
  • The route is 3000mm wide, or more.

Free car and coach parking is available close to the racecourse and within an easy walk, or board our courtesy raceday bus which operates from Wallyford Park and Ride by the train station.

The Racecourse opens between 2 and 2.5 hours before the first race. If you have booked hospitality or a special package, we recommend arriving at the racecourse for the 'gates opening' time and at least 1 hour before the first race to allow sufficient time to enjoy your meal before the racing starts.

Traffic is generally very busy so please allow extra time for your journey.
