Welcome to Student Raceday, the ultimate student social highlight of the academic year.
Whether you’re a fresher looking to kick-start university life or a returning student ready for another unforgettable day out, Student Raceday brings together the best of racing, music, fashion, and friends. Expect an electric atmosphere, live entertainment, great food and drink, and lots of students coming together to celebrate in style.
It’s the perfect chance to meet new people, dress to impress, and experience a true Scottish student tradition. From first-year memories to final-year celebrations, Student Raceday is where the student calendar comes alive.
A live DJ will be performing within the Invades Enclosure - you will need an Invades ticket to access this enclosure. You will not permitted access to this enclosure with a general admission ticket (adult, concession, child or one of our food packages) or hospitality badge. Invades tickets will go live shortly.

- We're only 6 miles from Edinburgh City Centre with direct transport links and a courtesy bus from Wallyford (connecting to Edinburgh) and NewCraighall (connecting to Galashiels) train stations.
- All timings are provisional and may change. Please keep an eye on our website and social media channels for any changes.
- Children 17 years and under are admitted FREE at Musselburgh Racecourse, except for New Years Day and Ladies Day, when accompanied by a paying adult. Four children are permitted per paying adult and/or concession. If this event sells out, there will be no child tickets available on the gate on the day.
- Student and concession tickets are available. You must have a valid concession I.D. More information about our concession tickets can be found in our FAQ section, click here. Please note, there will be a price increase for student and concession tickets purchased on the day.

Children 17 years and under go free, when accompanied by a guardian. Child tickets can be obtained on the day of racing.

If you would like access to the INVADES Party Marquee, please purchase an INVADES ticket. This ticket does not give you access to the INVADES Party Marquee.

Please Note: Appropriate Photo ID will be required when entering the racecourse for Concession tickets purchased.
Eligibility for concessions:
- Students: only with a valid student ID featuring a valid expiry date
- Senior citizens, aged over 65 with proof
- CCarers go free with a valid Carer’s ID or other carer documentation when accompanying a paying adult or concession. There are limited carers tickets on New Year's Day, Edinburgh Cup and Ladies Day, which are first come first served.

£0.00Our standard Child ticket is a general admission ticket that provides access to all public areas. You can obtain four child tickets, per adult/concession ticket or foodie experience.
Children under the age of 18 years must be accompanied by an adult. Proof of age may be requested and, if so, must be provided. You are responsible for each child that you bring onto the Racecourse and shall ensure each child complies with these Conditions. Please ensure you’ve read and fully understand our terms and conditions.
