The bet365 Scottish Cheltenham Trials Raceday
Sunday 1st February 2026
The build up to Cheltenham and The Grand National Festivals starts here. This fixture is the pinnacle of the jumps season at Musselburgh Racecourse and is assured to draw the UK's top trainers with more than £400,000 on offer.
Sunday features The bet365 Edinburgh National. We attract contenders for The Cheltenham and The Grand National Festivals. The BIGGEST Cheltenham Trials Weekend in the UK!
Previously, we have seen runners go onto win at the big festivals including Frodon, Seeyouatmidnight, Mighty Thunder and Greanateen. We have also welcomed Paul Nicholls, Lucinda Russell, Fergal O'Brien and Sandy Thomson.
An excellent atmosphere, a great choice of places to eat and drink and the perfect way to see some of the country's top owners, trainers, jockeys and horses in action. A must for all Jumps Racing fans.
On Sunday 1st February, we are excited to continue to welcome students from across Scotland on day two of the Scottish Cheltenham Trials weekend to experience the thrill of jumps racing, alongside our already passionate racegoers, who are the best advocates for our sport. We have taken on-board feedback and alongside additional bars to accommodate the students there will be a dedicated bar (The Rockavon) and cafe (Cafe 1816) for racegoers that have bought regular raceday tickets.
