New Year's Day Raceday 2027

Our Early Bird ticket is a general admission ticket that provides access to all public areas and a variety of options for places to eat, drink and bet.

Purchase your ticket before midnight on the 28th October and SAVE £10.00. On the day price will be £52.00.

Children 15 years and under go free, when accompanied by a guardian. This event is likely to sell-out so please ensure you secure your child tickets in advance. Child tickets will not be available on the day.

This is a ticket for attendees aged 16 and 17 years old on the day of the event and must be purchased alongside an adult or concession ticket. It is a general admission ticket that provides access to all public areas and a variety of options for places to eat and enjoy the atmosphere of a raceday. Please ensure you have a supervising adult. I.D will be required. Challenge 25 is in place.

Our standard Child ticket is a general admission ticket that provides access to all public areas. You can obtain four child tickets, per adult/concession ticket or foodie experience. Please note, this is for 15 years and under.  

Children under the age of 16 years must be accompanied by an adult. Proof of age may be requested and, if so, must be provided. You are responsible for each child that you bring onto the Racecourse and shall ensure each child complies with these Conditions. Please ensure you’ve read and fully understand our terms and conditions. 

Our Concession ticket is a general admission ticket that provides access to all public areas and a variety of options for places to eat, drink and bet.  

Book before midnight 28th Octobr and SAVE £14pp. This event is likely to sell-out and if this happens, tickets will not be available on the gate, on the day.

Please Note: Appropriate Photo ID will be required when entering the racecourse for Concession tickets purchased.

Eligibility for concessions:

• Students: only with a valid student ID featuring a valid expiry date
• Senior citizens, aged over 65 with proof
• Carers go free with a valid Carer’s ID or other carer documentation when accompanying a paying adult or concession. There are limited carers tickets on New Year's Day, Edinburgh Cup and Ladies Day, which are first come first served.

Enjoy a fantastic day at the races with a package designed to make your raceday experience simple, social, and seamless. Whether you're gathering friends, family, or colleagues, this package brings everything together so you can relax and enjoy the racing atmosphere.

Your package includes:

• General admission to the racecourse
• A race programme to help you follow the action
• One drink voucher per person (redeemable for a cold pint of beer, a glass of house wine, or a soft drink)
• One food voucher to use with our popular local street food vendors*. This includes a main and a side (for example fish and chips or a burger with chips). For pizzas, the voucher includes a pizza and a dip. Please note: this voucher is not valid for Steak & Frites.

Additional information:

• Your race programme will be provided on arrival at Entrance 3.
• Drink and food vouchers can be collected on arrival at Entrance 3. Group organisers should collect and distribute these to their guests. Vouchers can be redeemed at any of our bars.
• Street food vendors vary from raceday to raceday. On the day of the event, you’ll be able to choose from a selection of mobile food vendors located around the venue.
• A list of participating vendors will be emailed to attendees in advance. Vendors cater to a variety of dietary requirements and offer a range of menu options, though exclusions may apply.
• Please note: This package must be booked in advance and is not available to purchase on the day of the event.

Our festive luxe domes are back!

Elevate your New Year's Day experience and enjoy a day in our private festive domes, complete with a magnum of Pommery champagne and a festive foodie experience for you to enjoy throughout the day. Our domes seat ten and are located right alongside our finish line, where you can soak up the atmosphere of our action packed day.

Each dome includes:

• Unique experience providing panoramic views across the finish line
• Reserved private dome for the day (10 people)
• A magnum of Pommery Champagne to share
• Hot homemade steak and haggis pies served with homemade beetroot chutney; hearty ‘New Years Day’ seasonal soup with Nairns oatcakes plus homemade Cranachan cookies.
• Your own host including table service
• Use of our VIP toilets within our Queen's Stand
• Admission for the day
• Complimentary racecards

The domes are for 10 people and are £210 per person. If you would like to bring more than 10 guests, you will be across multiple domes. Drinks are not included but drinks packages are available on request. Please note, the furniture inside the Festive Domes will be different than pictured below, with a casual dining atmosphere for 10 guests.

A general admittance ticket is also required.

Bus service collecting from Waterloo Place outside the Apex Hotel, Edinburgh at 11:15 to Musselburgh Racecourse.

Return bus departs from Musselburgh Racecourse at 16:45 to Waterloo Place outside the Apex Hotel.

Bus tickets are non-refundable, and it is your responsibility to be at the designated drop-off and pick-up locations at the correct times. Please arrive promptly. Arrival times at the racecourse may vary depending on local traffic conditions.

Dine in style, in our Epperston Restaurant ~ perfect for intimate gatherings of 2-8 people. Situated on the lower floor of our Queen's Stand, offering stunning views across the winning post, the racecourse, and the parade ring - our Queen's Stand has a real royal flare. 

Entertain guests with a fine dining Epperston Hospitality Package and enjoy:

• Your reserved table provides a base for the day.
• Pommery Champagne reception.
• A New Year three-course choice menu prepared and served by Heritage Portfolio.
• An after dinner plate including sweet and savoury treats.
• Finished off with tea and coffee and traditional Scottish tablet.

Experience our Harris Tweed Bistro which is located on the upper floor of our historic Grandstand. Its location has panoramic views across the finish line.
