Ladies Day Racing Review

JONNY CONCRETE was an impressive winner of the Champagne Pommery Cuvee Louise Gold Cup on sold out Ladies Day at Musselburgh.

Ridden by Jack Nicholls and sent off at 100/30, he stormed home a length and three-quarters ahead of Ashen.

“He has really improved this season and hopefully will still have plenty of improvement to come,” reported winning trainer Iain Jardine. “This trip of seven-furlongs seems to bring out the best in him and there is a 0-90 handicap at Haydock next month t hat could be his next target.”

Paul Mulrennan was the jockey to follow as he registered a 49/1 treble on Samra Star, Minster Man and Monhammer, with the first and last legs proving in a double for East Kilbride trainer Linda Perratt.
