When to Arrive:

To make the most of your day, arrive early to secure your spot! We recommend coming as soon as gates open.
 
Getting to Musselburgh Races:

Musselburgh Racecourse is located 6 miles to the east of Edinburgh but is easy to get to, whatever your transport choice. The traffic on Saturday will be very busy so racegoers are encouraged to come early and, where possible, to use public transport. There is also ample Free Parking at Wallyford Station, so we would encourage you to park and ride to avoid congestion around the racecourse.
 

 
Train:

The nearest train station is Wallyford Station on the Edinburgh Waverley to North Berwick train line.
 
Courtesy Bus Wallyford Train Station:
We operate a courtesy bus from Wallyford Park and Ride Car Park, which is just a 5 minute walk from Wallyford Train Station. Please follow the signs from the Station to locate the Courtesy Buses in the Park & Ride Car Park. View courtesy bus timetable.
 
Courtesy Bus Newcraighall Train Station:

We have a second courtesy bus which operates from Newcraighall train station to the races. The courtesy bus is timed to meet trains and also operates at the end of the racing. View courtesy bus timetable.
 
Bus:
Lothian Buses and First Bus both offer services from Edinburgh City Centre.  Further details at Lothian Buses & First Bus.
 
Taxi:

Please note it will be very busy on The Scottish Sprint Cup so once the day is over if you don't have a pre-booked taxi please go to Linkfield Road where taxis will be available. There are a limited number of taxi's in local area so it is highly recommended that you book these in advance to avoid delays. All pre-booked taxis should pick up from Linkfield Road.
Car Parking

RACECOURSE PARKING - Scottish Sprint Cup

Free Parking:
Free car and coach parking is available close to the racecourse. Follow the signage to Musselburgh Racecourse and then signs direct to the public car park, located just off Balcarres Road.

From the A1 please follow temporary signage to access the public car parks. You will be guided into Hope Place along the back straight of the racecourse.  

From Edinburgh, please follow signage to cross the electic bridge and past the River Esk. View the map

Disabled Visitor Parking:
Disabled car parking is available in our public car parks, with spaces reserved near the entrances. We have a free shuttle bus providing transport to the entrances, which are 500 metres away, as well as golf buggies which have special access for wheel chairs. Read our accessibility info

Links Pavilion

EXTRA INFO - Scottish Sprint Cup

Meeting point:
Looking for friends or family when you arrive? Why not use our meeting point outside The Links Pavilion on our plaza. There will be a floral sculpture in place on the day, which will make the area stand out. This is an easy way to find your friends or family once you have entered the racecourse.

Cash points:
We have two cash points available, however, demand may be high, so we do advise that you bring enough cash with you on the day to avoid any inconvenience. We have also introduced contactless payment in our bars, which is a fast, easy and secure way to pay for purchases up to £30.00.

Bag Check:

Please be aware that all bags will be searched upon entry to the racecourse. This is in the interest of safety.

Police Dogs:

There will be a number of police dogs on-site carrying out security duties. 

CCTV:

CCTV will be in operation throughout the day and this is to ensure the safety of all our racegoers.

General Admission

GENERAL ADMISSION TICKETS - Scottish Sprint Cup

TICKET INFORMATION - General Admission – Go to Entrance 1 or 3
We recommend that you print your barcoded admission e-ticket now. If you do not have a printer, don't worry as we can scan your bardcoded ticket from your mobile phone however printing your ticket prior to arrival will ensure a speedier entry. Please make sure the barcode is clearly visible. You will need your ticket to gain entry to the raceday. If you are printing your ticket, it is important that the bar-code has been printed clearly to avoid any delays on arrival. Please present your bar-coded A4 admission e-tickets at Entrance 1 and Entrance 3. These entrances are clearly signposted on arrival. 

Ticket Collection - Go to Entrance 1
If you have booked as part of a group but are not arriving together then it would be a good idea to distribute the tickets to your group in advance of the day. However, you are able to leave tickets to be collected at the Entrance 1 'Ticket Collection’ point. Make sure that you let everyone else know where their individual tickets will be left, in advance of them arriving, as this will minimise any confusion on the day.

VIP

VIP PACKAGES - Scottish Sprint Cup

You will have received your badges for the Epperston Restaurant prior the day. Your badges should be brought with you and displayed to gain entry to the restaurant. Please make sure to keep your badge visible on your clothing/bag as this will allow you to come and go throughout the day. 

If you have purchased Tote vouchers, these will be on your table with your race programme waiting for you on arrival. Your pre-order drinks will waiting to be served on arrival.
