Racing Review - The Scottish Flat Season Finale 2026

SANDY THOMSON kept his good run going when scoring with Flying Moonlight on the final day of the Scottish Flat season at Musselburgh.

The Lambden raider was sent off 9/4 favourite before landing the first division of the Burton Roofing Merchants Handicap over a mile and a half.

“The first-time cheekpieces helped as he has taken time to get the hang of things,” Thomson reported. “He’s had a few races so a bit of a break might be on the cards and he won’t be hurdling for the time being.”

Tim Easterby recorded a 155/1double with So Farhh and Bay Breeze.

The former took the £30,000 two-year-old maiden under David Allan before the latter struck at 25/1 in the final race of the day.

Alnofoor, a first runner at the track for Claire O’Connell, followed up his win at the Curragh on Sunday in the Veronika Walker: Moments That Matter Handicap under Shane Gray.
